Marisa has dreams that include passing AP Calculus, graduating from high school, and going to a college where she can study engineering.  The problem is that her family does not value her dreams. They expect her to work hard to help her family succeed and think her first priority should be to get married and raise a family.  Marisa is caught in a struggle between what her family thinks is best and what she knows is best for herself.  Marisa will need to find the courage to stand up to her parents if she is going to realize the dreams she has set for herself.
